Raising Donations

Raising donations needs a little planning but it’s really easy and gives your friends, family and colleagues a chance to make a difference to their local community.

More and more people are relying on food banks to get through everyday life. There are now over 2500 food banks across the country and they need your help to stay well stocked.

Every food bank has slightly different needs and you can get in touch with your local bank by clicking the map or the link below and visiting GiveFood.org.uk who list every food bank in the country.

Once you have a list from your chosen food bank you can take a look in your cupboards and ask colleagues, friends and family to donate the everyday items which may include tinned soup, meat, beans, packets of rice, biscuits, toothpaste, basic toiletries etc.

You have a whole month to raise the donations while you Move and really make a difference.

Baby Banks

Much like Food Banks, Baby banks up and down the country support those in need and specifically help those with babies. Their lists may include items such as nappies, baby wipes, New muslins, New tommee tippee bottles or teats, New pants or socks gloves & hats, baby or toddler bubble bath/wash/shampoo.

Make sure you check what your local bank needs and where to drop off the items before you start raising donations.

I’d like to raise for a different charity
